The cabin was amazing. It was clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need, except the food. The bathrooms were stocked with more towels than our family of six could use in days, besides having the washer and dryer to do the laundry. All the comforts of home, with the stunning view of the Smokey Mountains. Cajun Hideaway is by far the best place that we've stayed. The kids loved the pool table and having a tv in every bedroom. Toni and Gary have a absolutely wonderful home, and was well worth every cent. The only complaint were the directions. Do not follow the ones given by the resort. We were taken an hour out of the way to miss a little traffic. My suggestion is to take route 66 south off of I-40 to route 454 to route 321 turn left on 321 north. Go past Bent Tree Golf Course, an rv campground, and finally a self storage unit. Turn left at the very next road (Branham Hollow Road) turn left, then follow their directions. Once again from the Drakes from Findlay, Ohio --- Thank You for a great time.
We were thrilled with evey aspect of our stay at Cajun Hideaway! Can't wait to go again!!
We wanted somewhere different to go this year to celebrate our anniversary. We sure picked the perfect place! The cabin itself was amazing!Perfect views from the balcony. There was so much to do and see.The drive time to points of interest wasn't long at all.I would highly recommend the Cajun Hideaway to anyone! We sure will be going back!
Very impressed with the check-in/out process. Very convenient for arriving late due to traffic issues. Possibly the cleanest property my family and I have ever stayed in. Walkin in to the feeling of home really made all the differnce for my family on this first trip to Gatlinburg. My children's first impressions were classic. Maintanence problems were quickly taken care of. The property was beautiful and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to the Cajun Hideaway again.
Already have recommended to a friend..they've booked the same property for a week in June.
Overall the stay was very enjoyable. Cabin was beautiful. View was even better. Only problem we had was finding it. Directions from mapquest and from Elk springs were incorrect. I would still love to go back and will recommend going there to everyone.
This is a place you can completely relax and unwind at. I would highly recommend this cabin and location to anyone who is looking for a Smoky Mountains experience. This is the way to go. Away from the crowds but close to all the attractions and activities.
This was our second Elk Springs rental cabin. You can't go wrong with these guys. The cabins are just great... very clean, well equipped, and reasonably priced - comparable to a fine hotel room, but you get the whole house! You can safely pick a cabin on the internet, the pictures are accurate.
My husband and I had a really great time on our weekend getaway.
I love staying out of town. Very secluded and beautiful. Couldn't get the road plowed after 4 or 5 inches of snow but who cares. We had a great time just relaxing. Property manager was great.
Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin. My wife and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed being so close to the Smokies. Looking forward to coming back.
Wonderful cabin had a great time
We were all pleasd with our stay at the was very comfy with great vews, will definitely would love to stay again next year.
Great cabin, breath taking view!
The cabin was very nice, had a great view and was very quiet and comfortable. The only issues we had were the upstairs area was difficult to cool-could have been we did not know exactly how to operate their system. Would also make a suggestion that the towels be totally dry before they are put into the cabinets as it seemed they all had a musty odd odor. We would return so these were minor problems.
Most important to understand is this property is not in Elk Spring's Resort. Do to an unfortunate mix up we did not receive directions to Cajun Hideaway and spent a frustrating night trying to locate the property on the resort. No after hours property manager could be located or reached by phone. My family was forced to stay in a hotel and wait for our message to be returned. The property location is 9 miles further off of Hwy 321 N. The following morning the property manager was accommodating and we located the property. The Cabin was immaculate, beautiful, and had the most impressive view. The owners keep a journal for guest with pictures, a welcoming touch. I would not hesitate to recommend Cajun Hideaway to my friends, but I would give them the directions myself.
Sorry for the inconvenience. For future reference, we do send out 4 seperate emails to guests prior to their stay with driving directions to the front door of this cabin. We also call on the day of check in to verify the address and make sure guests do understand where they are going. This cabin is easy to access, however, we unfortunately were not able to connect live with you prior to your stay. We're glad you enjoyed the cabin nonetheless! All repeat guests receive 10% off a future stay!
There are a couple of things that need attention. We had high winds one day, (Friday, Oct 23). The glass front on the fire place would occassionally shake violently! This needs attention. The high winds also, blew the pilot light out. The tv remote in the master bedroom did not work, probably needs batteries. The same goes for the unlocking mechanism on the front door. Sometimes slow to unlock door.
