The cabin was beautiful and we had a wonderful time!! Well highly recomend Elk Springs Resorts to anyone!! Will rent from again on our next trip down.
The resort was great and the cabins are beautiful. The staff at Elk Springs were very nice and we loved the express check-in . More pet friendly cabins would be nice.
Black Jack was far beyond our expectations. The cabin was clean and stocked with necessities to make your vacation spot complete. My Husband and I enjoyed our own king size suite on the 2nd floor and my sister in law and her husband had their own on the first floor. It was very private and relaxing. We spent our days sight seeing and our evenings in the hot tub. We cooked most of our meals in, but found a great restaurant right down the street. I cannot wait to go back. This was the best place that I have ever stayed. PS - the pictures didn't show it but there is a pool table!
The cabin was great, and the staff was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly when we needed something. The only problem we had was that many of the light bulbs needed to be replaced, half dozen to a dozen.
Hi Chris, thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the burned out lightbulbs! We check them prior to check in, however, they all tend to burn out around the same time as we normally change them in batches. We have onsite maintenance so that when and if you have a problem we can respond quickly. Thanks again for the comments!

We Stayed at the Blackjack cabin for a Family Christmas get together. We had a wonderful time. I will recommend Elk Springs Resort to everyone.
This was the perfect get away for me and my family. We stayed in Blackjack in early December 2009 and we really enjoyed the amenities of our cabin. I have two young girls and they really liked the bunk beds and the hot tub. We also really liked the theater room and got a membership at Food City so we could rent movies and get discounts on food. I would reccomend this cabin to anybody.
This was our families first true vacation and we truely loved it. Clean,pently of space and very convenient to all local attractions.
The traffic was a nightmare though, but your cabin was beautiful.
This place is awesome it looks just as it is pictured, the staff was always there whenever we needed anything. It was top notch I would go back again anytime. The only problem was there was no phone in the house and no cell phones work up there, which was perfect for our honeymoon but in case of an emergency or is the bears got into the cabin...5 star rating!!!!!!!
As german visitors we had chosen the elksprings resort to relax for 5 days after we had travelled the US from Florido via NC to Tennessie. Good choice! We found an absolutely quiet resort ,a big fully equipped cabin with jacuzzi, home cinema, AC and much more amenities only 10 min ride to Gatlinburg downtown. And all was topped by the visit of a bear at 11.00 pm while we were chatting about the day. For heavens sake the bear was as afraid as we were, when he saw us and ran away. Cabin was nice and clean. There was plenty of room and comfortable beds. Kitchen was missing a few key dishware items and the phone didn't work. A little closer to the neighbors than I would have liked. Our neighbors were rather noisy. Also, not the picturesque view of mountains I expected. Not really any view at all.
Great Cabin, great location! Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again, however sound really carries throughout the cabin. Makes it hard for others to sleep if people are talking in another room, even on a different floor.
We loved our stay at Blackjack! Our favorite thing was the theater room! The cabin had beautiful woodwork! We were pleased that the Master bed was king-size (a little too firm for our liking, however) In fact, had the bed been more comfortable, we would have stayed another night or two! We are used to the Helen, Ga. area where each cabin is secluded. We did not care for the 'subdivision neighborhood' of cabins that seem to be the case throughout Gatllinburg, not just Elk Springs. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay, and if we visit this area again, we would return to Elk Springs Resort. Thanks for the wonderful service!!!! Jack and Carrie Crestwood,KY
My only complaint was that there was no TV tuner hooked up to the video projector, so we couldn't put the football game on the big screen. That would have been awesome. DVD looked great though. The cabin was beautiful, clean and comfortable.
Thank you for the feedback. Given the longevity of the bulbs we are unable to hook up the cable to the projectors. We're glad you enjoyed the movies, the theater rooms are a big hit with everyone!
The property offered was worth every penny. The cabin was beautiful and well-equipped for a week's stay. Any maintenance issues that arose (e.g. pilot light not on in fireplace; sliding glass door stuck) were dealt with immediately and efficiently. My only issue was that there appeared to be paint splatters on the main deck which detracted from the beauty of the cabin and should be removed prior to the next guest visting. All in all, a wonderful vacation, a great sanctuary after a day in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and if you are not relaxed after your stay, it is your own fault.
