  The view was wonderful. My wife and I celebrated her birthday at the Bear Den cabin and it instantly became one of our favorites. Jeremy from the staff was very available and helpful. I had a slow leak in my tire and he was there to help me refill the tire before checkout. I would recommend this cabin for couples for the view, the accommodations and it's cozy size.

  Everything about the cabin was great. it was very clean upon arrival and had plenty of the essentials to get us by for 4 day. The only problem we had was the lady bug invasion. when we got back on the second day lady bugs were all over the back deck and were getting inside the cabin. while harmless it was a little annoying. Thankfully they had a vacumn so we could suck up the ones inside.

  We had a wonderful stay at Bear Den! The cabin was promptly ready upon our arrival and absoulutely spotless. The two decks overlooked amazing views of the mountains, especially beautiful this time of year! The location of this cabin was perfect given the heavy traffic this time of year. We followed the alternate route given by the resort to avoid traffic and it was a life saver. It was about 30 extra miles but worth the distance for time saved sitting in traffic. We had no issues with this cabin but did meet the owners which were on property to assist if we needed anyhing. We would highly recommend Bear Den and will definatley be coming back to this cabin! Thank you !

  I enjoyed my stay at Elk Springs Resorts Cabin. I would like to start off by saying that when I first walked in the cabin, it was so clean that I felt I was the first renter of this property after it being built. The cabin was everything I wanted and more.The location was just right, not too far and not too close. When I did need the property manager, he came **** near within seconds of me calling. I will be back again and am even considering getting a time share down there. Only problem that I had was that I should have taken more time because the 4 days I was there didn't give me enough time to just relax in the cabin. Thanks again. I will be back.

  After searching tripadvisor for the perfect place to spend a few family days after Christmas we agreed up the Bear Den! We were not disappointed. From the beautiful starry night views from the hot tub at night to the sunrise over the mountains in the morning our days and nights began and ended perfectly! A family of 4 we decided to spend some of our "present money" on a trip instead of the usual gifts at Christmas. The directions given to us lead us right to the cabin and mapquest provided accurate directions to bypass the traffic at night. The cabin was decorated completely to theme and so cute. the kitchen amenity allowed us sleep in and prepare our own breakfast, but also allowed us to make it to town before the crowds. The pool table allowed us to play team games or one on one. Overall this was an excellent choice for our holiday trip. The only negative is that we had a couple of issues, the BOSE system and the hot tub, which probably amounted to our user error, but after calling to report it, the issues were fixed by the time we got back to the cabin that evening. If you choose the Bear Den you will not be disappointed. It is another day in Bearadise!

  My Wife and I stayed in the Bear Den for our honeymoon. The cabin was the cleanest place I have ever vacationed in! The views were great and it is far enough from downtown Gatlinburg that you are "away" from it all. This was my first time in Gatlinburg, and it was a little more touristy than expected. Highly recommend the Smoky Mountain Brewery and the Little House of Pancakes! Would recommend to anyone!

  The cabin was wonderful. We did not want to leave. Immaculately clean with everything we needed. It was about 20 mins drive from actual Gatlinburg proper(which I didn't realize), but the location was peaceful with beautiful views. The cabin is built into the side of a mountain, so don't expect a yard; which if you have small children you may need to consider,esp.for safety reasons. However there are plenty of places to hike nearby and plenty of other activities to keep your family occupied. We hope to return to Bear Den in the future for another longer and even more relaxing vacation.

  the hot tub had a funny smell, they charge a 45 dollar fee for cleaning the tub. im a spa dealer, you should consider hot springs brand. we did not use the tub, however we were absolutely impressed with every other detail, excellent attention to detail. we plan to return asap, will pass the word

  We stayed at Bear Den for 6 nights in October 2010 for our honeymoon. The cabin was amazing! I did a lot of research on cabins to stay at, and knew that Bear Den would be great, but it surpassed our expectations. We felt right at home and it was incredibly hard to leave at the end of our stay. Thank you to Elk Springs for an amazing honeymoon! I'd recommend Bear Den to anyone!

  Lovely! We were so pleased with the beautiful views afforded by our balconies. The cabin was spotless and we loved the decor. It was great to be outside of town where it was much more relaxing and peaceful. The cabin owner was friendly and accommodating.   The cabin was very clean and very comfortable. The view off the decks was all mountains. You could hear the nearest highway occasionally, but could not see anything man made at all, even though it was just a short drive to hundreds of attractions.

  The cabin was great, and we had a wonderful time. When we first arrived, we were worried because it was right next to a couple of other cabins, which was not mentioned on their website. However, the design and layout of the cabins was such that it wasn't really an issue; in fact, we didn't see anyone else until 5 days or so after we got there. The cabin was very nicely decorated, and had a great view of the mountains. It was also in a great location, away from town, but easy to get to wherever we were going. Overall, we had a great time, and we're hoping to be able to go back sooN!

  Wonderfully cozy place to stay. Great views from the hot tub or from the breakfast table. Felt secluded, but not too secluded as there are five units in a row. Only downside was the 15 to 20 min drive to Gatlinburg, but wouldn't trade the experience.

  Bear Den is a great little retreat. We were a little concerned about the cabins next door being too close, but not a problem at all. The view is gorgeous. We spent as much time as possible on the deck--ate our meals out there and relaxed with cocktails at night. The creek that runs just down the hill provides very calming background noise. The week flew by. We'll go back for sure. I can't say enough good things.

  It was the perfect environment for a honeymoon because we could only relax since there was so much snow on the ground. We actually had to wait to leave the cabin everyday no sooner than about noon. We will definitely come back to Gatlinburg, make sure we stay here, and make the stay in the warmer parts of the year so we can get a better view of the mountains, and go through the national park to Cherokee.

The location is a little far out but worth the drive as the seclusion and the views are worth it..we truly appreciated the privacy when we turned the resort drive into a snowy playland.
