  We loved the cabin. Arrival was smooth, we even received a followup call to make sure everything went well. Cabin was clean and cozy and just what we hoped for - we actually stayed an extra day. Wireless internet worked well, view was great.
  
  Our only complaint was that the cabin was a little further from downtown gatlinburg than we thought. Not really a problem, but you just have to plan ahead as you aren't going to want to go back and forth to the cabin.

  The family enjoyed everything about the cabin and its location. We will be looking forward to staying at Bearfoot Memories again. The hot tub at night with the wife was great and the pool table gave some good family time with the girls. The location was just perfect not in town and not to far away from downtown Gatlinburg. I have always wanted to stay in a cabin with a view and I finally crossed that off my bucket list with also getting to ride a horse for the first time.

  We really did enjoy our stay. The cabin was awesome!!! The only thing that was not great was waiting for someone to call us to get our security code for the cabin. We waited all day and didn't recieve a call. We finally called them at 2:30 and was given our information. It was just a bit "uncertain" and nobody wants that on a vacation. It would be better if you gave out a key or you gave the call a day before not the day of. Other than that it was GREAT!!!!!!! Lovely view and cabin.

  The pictures we saw online of Barefoot Memories did not do the view justice. It is spectacular and we were thrilled as we drove up to the property. The cabin itself was spotless and equipped with anything you would need for a luxury vacation. Watching Despicable Me on Blu ray on the big screen with surround sound was an unexpected bonus. The beds were fantastic and pleasing me is not easy to do. The kids loved playing games in the loft and learning to play pool. The private location was perfect too making us feel like we were all alone, but still knowing civilization was not too far away. We could not have picked a better place to stay.

  Traveled with three adults, 1 & 3 yr old boys. We had a great time. Very courteous and helpful management staff. The cabin was well equipped and comfortable. Pool table, Blu-ray player, and top of the line AV equipment were great for entertaining kids
  and adults alike. The adults loved the hot tub and grilling under the stars. What a view! Close enough to everything, yet away from all the tourists. Only downside was that the main living area/kitchen and loft got way too hot during the day in Mid-summer.
  The thermostat read 79 deg. by 9AM each morning, and stayed @ 79 deg. until late afternoon. This problem could be helped by installing window coverings on the high windows. The AC simply can't compete with the morning/midday sun that pours in. All-in-all,
  great stay! We'd rent from Elk Springs again without question.

  Bearfoot Memories was so much more than we expected! The cabin is beautiful and spotless. It's tucked away for privacy yet only minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and all the attractions.
  The cabin had absolutely everything you needed for a wonderful stay. There was a loft with pool table, flatscreen tvs and dvd players in almost every room. The view was spectacular! The hot tub was so relaxing after our busy days out and about.
  Each bathroom had its own whirlpool tub and shower stall. Fresh linens were provided for each bathroom.
  The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with the most comfortable beds!
  Our week long stay was amazing! We couldn't find one thing wrong. If we could stay at this cabin no matter where we were to vacation, we would be one happy family!

  My boyfriend and I spent 3 glorious days in this beautiful cabin. The pics actually don't do it justice! The view is absolutely amazing and sitting in the hot tub at night under the stars was just one of the many highlights. The cabin is located about 7 miles from Gatlinburg nestled into the side of a hill. It's very private although there are cabins near by, but not overlooking the property. The cabin was absolutely spotless and is kitted out with everything you could possibly need. We plan on coming back here as soon as we have some time off. Thanks to the reservation staff for being so helpful and recommending this cabin!

  My wife and I stayed at Bearfoot Memories the last week of January and had the most amazing time. It's sort of the off-season for Gatlinburg, but the low-key feel was exactly what we needed. Gorgeous mountain views through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, the fireplace, hot tubbing in the snow... so perfect.
  
  We loved how our cabin was secluded and private without being remote. Bearfoot Memories is actually off the main Elk Springs Resort property, but it wasn't difficult to get to and was very convenient to Gatlinburg and all the restaurants, shops, and attractions in town.
  
  Some of the highlights of the week were the Aquarium of the Smokies, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and dinners at the Greenbriar and Calhoun's.
  
  This was our first time in Gatlinburg, and we're excited to come back; Elk Springs is where we'll stay, for sure. Maybe we'll even bring some friends with us next time!

  The property is a little ways out but still within a quick drive of downtown Gatlinburg. The view is amazing! We had snow for two of our four days, which really added to the view of the mountains. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. And speaking of comfortable, the beds are extremely comfy. Best sleep we've had in a while! The only complaint I have is that the shower is a little cramped for my 6 foot, 190 pound frame, as well as the shower head itself being pretty unpleasant. Aside from that trivial matter, the stay and the property were both wonderful!!

  The location was very good. View and privacy was great. Cabin was not as upgraded as I was expecting, but still nice. I would have appreciated more alarm system instruction before arriving. Had some trouble with that upon first entry. The most excitement was when a mother bear and 4 cubs visited within a few feet of the front deck. Thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Overall a good stay.

  Loved that we didn't need a key, however, the lady who called with the entry code gave us the wrong number. It was midnight when we arrived the first night and since the property was not within the resort boundaries, security said it was out of their jurisdiction and could not help us. That issue should be looked into if Elk Springs continues using cabins outside their "resort boundary". Owner called and gave the correct code - rest of the stay was wonderful. Had a good laugh and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you for some great memories!

    Hi Debbie, glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry for the mixup with your door code. We have dedicated security and maintenance for the cabin in the area where you rented. You probably called our main number as opposed to the dedicated number on your check in reservation documents. That's OK! Our security / maintenance person at our main site after hours doesnt cover the cabins you were staying in so he called that areas manager / owner who assisted you with your door very quickly. He's only 5-8 minutes from the cabin. So if you do stay at a similar cabin again in that area and if you call our main maintenance number we will dispatch you to that areas maintenance person. Don't forget that you get 10% off all future stays!

  In my 40 years of coming to the Smokies, Bearfoot Memories without question is the best. From the private drive, the spectacular view, the cabin layout all added to a wonderful stay. I was amazed on how clean the cabin was on the inside. We ran out of propane and it was replaced in 15 minutes. This cabin is absolutely perfect. The staff as always did a outstanding job. I would buy this cabin, if it was for sale. Great Job Elk Springs, We will be back

Pleasantly, this pretty cabin had everything the website listed and more! Our family will stay again!   Cabin was very private with an absolutely magnificent view. Nicely appointed with just about all you need, just bring food & drink. Close enough to Gatlinburg & all the attractions when you want to go, and far enough away so you can relax and feel like you're alone in a secluded beautiful forest. Wonderful cabin!
