  After searching tripadvisor for the perfect place to spend a few family days after Christmas we agreed up the Bear Den! We were not disappointed. From the beautiful starry night views from the hot tub at night to the sunrise over the mountains in the morning our days and nights began and ended perfectly! A family of 4 we decided to spend some of our "present money" on a trip instead of the usual gifts at Christmas. The directions given to us lead us right to the cabin and mapquest provided accurate directions to bypass the traffic at night. The cabin was decorated completely to theme and so cute. the kitchen amenity allowed us sleep in and prepare our own breakfast, but also allowed us to make it to town before the crowds. The pool table allowed us to play team games or one on one. Overall this was an excellent choice for our holiday trip. The only negative is that we had a couple of issues, the BOSE system and the hot tub, which probably amounted to our user error, but after calling to report it, the issues were fixed by the time we got back to the cabin that evening. If you choose the Bear Den you will not be disappointed. It is another day in Bearadise!

  When we walked into the cabin, it was even better than I had hoped for. It was very clean, everything looked new, and the view was amazing.   My Wife and I stayed in the Bear Den for our honeymoon. The cabin was the cleanest place I have ever vacationed in! The views were great and it is far enough from downtown Gatlinburg that you are "away" from it all. This was my first time in Gatlinburg, and it was a little more touristy than expected. Highly recommend the Smoky Mountain Brewery and the Little House of Pancakes! Would recommend to anyone!

  We just returned from a trip 9/4 - 9/8/11. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and clean. We ended up spending quite a bit more time at the cabin because of the weather and didn't mind one minute of it. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen, drinking

  The cabin was wonderful. We did not want to leave. Immaculately clean with everything we needed. It was about 20 mins drive from actual Gatlinburg proper(which I didn't realize), but the location was peaceful with beautiful views. The cabin is built into the side of a mountain, so don't expect a yard; which if you have small children you may need to consider,esp.for safety reasons. However there are plenty of places to hike nearby and plenty of other activities to keep your family occupied. We hope to return to Bear Den in the future for another longer and even more relaxing vacation.

  The cabin was great, and we had a wonderful time. When we first arrived, we were worried because it was right next to a couple of other cabins, which was not mentioned on their website. However, the design and layout of the cabins was such that it wasn't really an issue; in fact, we didn't see anyone else until 5 days or so after we got there. The cabin was very nicely decorated, and had a great view of the mountains. It was also in a great location, away from town, but easy to get to wherever we were going. Overall, we had a great time, and we're hoping to be able to go back sooN!

  Bear Den is a great little retreat. We were a little concerned about the cabins next door being too close, but not a problem at all. The view is gorgeous. We spent as much time as possible on the deck--ate our meals out there and relaxed with cocktails at night. The creek that runs just down the hill provides very calming background noise.   It was the perfect environment for a honeymoon because we could only relax since there was so much snow on the ground. We actually had to wait to leave the cabin everyday no sooner than about noon. We will definitely come back to Gatlinburg, make sure we stay here, and make the stay in the warmer parts of the year so we can get a better view of the mountains, and go through the national park to Cherokee.

  This Cabin is exceptional and the property owner ensured our stay was very comfortable. The location is a little far out but worth the drive as the seclusion and the views are worth it..we truly appreciated the privacy when we turned the resort drive into a snowy playland. Also, we had no problems traveling in and out with all the snow, which is a must!! This is our fourth annual Christmas trip with small children and we so appreciated the exceptional accommodations.

I had the pleasure of staying in another cabin prior to this one which was bigger and had a few more amenities. i though i was going to be dissapointed when we switched to the smaller cabin because our family had left.
