  Blackjack is exactly as the pictures describe except for the sitting room. There isn't a sitting room there is a pool table in which the kids enjoyed. The kids are 11 and 16 hardly kids, however they had a great time. I advise anybody if you have a problem, call maintence no matter how small you think it is. We were not able to use the downstairs for the first four days due to it being very cold. We were not happy at all, the 11 yr old was sleeping with everyone but where he wanted to because of the coldness in the basement, however we called maintenance and there was something wrong with the heater. They fixed it within minutes. We definatley enjoyed the basesment after that and him sleeping in his own bed. There were other issues as well that were fixed. The hot tub was a enjoyable treat a couple times a day. My only complaint is the pots and pans if you plan on cooking take your own. They stick very badly....

  We had a wonderful vacation enjoying the beautiful fall colors in the Smoky Mountains. Our cabin and grounds at Elk Springs were better than we could have imagined. This was our first trip to Elk Springs Resort and will definitely be back.

  Our experience at Blackjack was great! The internet advertising was exactly what was promised - sometimes you just don't know, but our expectations were certainly met. Only negatives: clean was surface clean - there was pet hair on the furniture and other
  things you would see but not at first glance. Also, our washing machine did not work so no laundry service. Maintenance looked at it, but could not repair. Management did not call to address the situation. Cleaning staff left an envelope looking for a tip.
  I expect that I paid enough for the cabin to be clean on arrival.

• Went for a girlfriends' weekend and had a blast. The cabin had enough beds and bathrooms for everyone. The hot tub was excellent. It was just the thing we needed! We will definitely go again.

  This is our 3rd year at Elksprings Resort, and our 2nd stay at 'Blackjack'. We love this 's is sooo peaceful and yet it's so alive with all the amenities offered. Love the hot tub, pool table, big screen, fireplace...two decks...perfect!

  We had an awesome stay in our cabin. It was clean, well stocked and the beds were very comfy. We could not get water from the fridge, we called and they were there right away to fix it. We would like to return in the fall and have told our friends about Elk Springs.

  This is my second stay and I have to say that it was wonderful for the second time. I was worried about the Blackjack cabin being to close to my neighbors and being able to see them. Not the case. This cabin was absolutely gorgeous. Very big and comfortable. Management staff (Dan) was so willing to help me out after my husband rented a cabin up in the middle of nowhere. dan got me in at last minute and was so helpful. Not to mention this resort is absolutely gorgeous and close to downtown Gatlinburg. Away from the hustle and bustle but not too far away. I will definitely come back!

  We really enjoyed our stay at Blackjack and Elk Springs.
  MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS NOT ENOUGH PET FRIENDLY CABINS. I realize that some pet owners are not very responsible, but most like me are. I think you should have more pet friendly for small dogs under 25 lbs. The reason we stayed in a three bedroom cabins is because of the pet friendly,we really only needed a cabin for two.

  First I would just like to say that the customer service was so wonderful. I spoke with Dan and Heather and they both made it so easy that it made me relax and not worry. The cabin was in a perfect spot, not too close to town, but not too far out. Once we got inside, I was amazed at the beauty. It was actually a luxury log cabin and it had all the amenities that we needed. We have stayed in Gatlinburg several times but this was the BEST by far.

  My extended family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at blackjack. It was extremely clean, and although not the best view, it was very convenient to town. I would recommend adding an additional exterior light nearer to the gas grill. Our iron went bad, and no ssoner did I leave a message with maintenance, someone was at my door with a brand new iron. Wow! Great job.

  It was a beautiful cabin. We were allowed to bring our dog (with a reasonable pet fee). Close to the attractions in downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that we went to. The cabin was stocked with all necessary items to feel at "home" for the week. Enjoyed sitting around hanging out at the cabin as much as going out. There was no landline phone in the cabin and I was a bit nervous,I had read other reviews that claimed there was no cellular service. I have Verizon and received cell service my entire stay without any problems. I definitely want to come again, maybe next time in early summer when it's not quite so cold, especially, since this place allowed my larger dog.

  The Cabin was perfect there was 9 of us. The space was exactly enough. The hot tub only could hold about 5 or 6 people max. The house was clean and location was perfect except for it did snow most the time and it is really hard to get down the hills without sliding if you dont have a four wheel drive car or chains on your tires so we got snowed in a couple of times. The only bad thing is most of our cell phones had no service up there which should be expected on around a mountain. Maybe they should of had a phone at least that we could of used in the cabin for that kind of situation. But the cabin was perfect, clean, no maintenance issues, staff was very nice. The ski resort is about 15 min and downtown is only like 10 min away which there is tons to do downtown. Would definitely stay again and would like to go again next year.

  We had a BLAST while staying with Elk Springs and we had so many memories. Our cabin was very clean and felt like home immediately. We were able to bring our dog with us and did not have to worry about her. There is a fantastic arts community right down the road and we spent a lot of time at Alewine pottery picking up beautiful Christmas gifts. Everyone in Gatlinburg was super friendly and we are already planning to re-visit for our anniversary!

  Everything was great. A motion light would be nice on the entry door. When we got back to the cabin after dark, could not see to punch in the code. We were instructed to call a number at checkout. Tried but it would not work! LOved the cabin and the area. We'll be back.

  This cabin was Wonderful ! Everything was amazingly clean, and I was impressed that even the towels smelled 'like Home'...I had a hard time was that cozy ! I could really see myself living in that cabin, it was perfect. We were a little disappointed with the location of the pool table. It was in the upstairs loft, and it was too big for the space. You couldnt really use it because the pool sticks hit the walls. Im thinking maybe an air hockey or foose ball table would work better up there for that particular space. Also, not too much space outside for the puppy to potty, but luckily for me, I have a small dog and it worked out fine. I would definitely love to come up around Thanksgiving and bring the family. We only stayed the weekend, but would love to come back and extend my stay ! We had a great experience with Elk Springs Resort ! Thank you :)

  Exc. cabin, more than we expected. 3 levels, pet friendly, pool table, open and clean. Did need maintenance for minor issues. Immediate response, lit pilot light on fireplace, freshened garbage disposal, put batteries in remote to theater room projector. Everything we needed, blender, coffee pot, towels, linen, extra blankets/pillows...Trash receptacle are now steal cages, no bears lurking. Hot tub was very relaxing, grill cooked our steaks to perfection, & free phone service "out" : ) 7 of us in cabin and we had LOTS of space, sleeping on all levels. Looking forward to our 3rd visit!

  Black Jack was far beyond our expectations. The cabin was clean and stocked with necessities to make your vacation spot complete. My Husband and I enjoyed our own king size suite on the 2nd floor and my sister in law and her husband had their own on the first floor. It was very private and relaxing. We spent our days sight seeing and our evenings in the hot tub. We cooked most of our meals in, but found a great restaurant right down the street. I cannot wait to go back. This was the best place that I have ever stayed. PS - the pictures didn't show it but there is a pool table!

  The cabin was great, and the staff was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly when we needed something. The only problem we had was that many of the light bulbs needed to be replaced, half dozen to a dozen.

We check them prior to check in, however, they all tend to burn out around the same time as we normally change them in batches.   Great Cabin, great location! Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again, however sound really carries throughout the cabin. Makes it hard for others to sleep if people are talking in another room, even on a different floor.

  This was the perfect get away for me and my family. We stayed in Blackjack in early December 2009 and we really enjoyed the amenities of our cabin. I have two young girls and they really liked the bunk beds and the hot tub. We also really liked the theater room and got a membership at Food City so we could rent movies and get discounts on food. I would reccomend this cabin to anybody.

  We loved our stay at Blackjack! Our favorite thing was the theater room! The cabin had beautiful woodwork! We were pleased that the Master bed was king-size (a little too firm for our liking, however) In fact, had the bed been more comfortable, we would have stayed another night or two! We are used to the Helen, Ga. area where each cabin is secluded. We did not care for the 'subdivision neighborhood' of cabins that seem to be the case throughout Gatllinburg, not just Elk Springs.   This place is awesome it looks just as it is pictured, the staff was always there whenever we needed anything. It was top notch I would go back again anytime. The only problem was there was no phone in the house and no cell phones work up there, which was perfect for our honeymoon but in case of an emergency or is the bears got into the cabin...

  My only complaint was that there was no TV tuner hooked up to the video projector, so we couldn't put the football game on the big screen. That would have been awesome. DVD looked great though. The cabin was beautiful, clean and comfortable.

  As german visitors we had chosen the elksprings resort to relax for 5 days after we had travelled the US from Florido via NC to Tennessie. Good choice! We found an absolutely quiet resort ,a big fully equipped cabin with jacuzzi, home cinema, AC and much more amenities only 10 min ride to Gatlinburg downtown. And all was topped by the visit of a bear at 11.00 pm while we were chatting about the day. For heavens sake the bear was as afraid as we were, when he saw us and ran away. All in all a great stay in the Smokies!

  The property offered was worth every penny. The cabin was beautiful and well-equipped for a week's stay. Any maintenance issues that arose (e.g. pilot light not on in fireplace; sliding glass door stuck) were dealt with immediately and efficiently. My only issue was that there appeared to be paint splatters on the main deck which detracted from the beauty of the cabin and should be removed prior to the next guest visting. All in all, a wonderful vacation, a great sanctuary after a day in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and if you are not relaxed after your stay, it is your own fault.
