  We stayed at "Almost Heaven" for a long weekend. The pictures on the internet site were very accurate and represented the cabin well. There was my wife and I, our two children (3 and 5), my parents, and my brother. We stayed on the top floor where there was a king bed and bath in one room and a bunk queen bed in the other (where the kids stayed). My parents (who are older) stayed on the main (walk in) level, where there is a king bed and bath. My brother stayed on the bottom floor in a king bed with bath. Everyone had privacy and slept well. Also on the bottom floor was a pool table, air hockey, sauna, and theater room. It was simply fantastic down there. The place was very clean upon our arrival...and the decor was tasteful and in great shape! We also had a wonderful view of the Mountains! If you're looking for a cabin experience in the mountains...and want to be impressed...go to Elk Springs Resort. We will definitely be back!

  Nice place, beautiful view. The only problems were that the pull out bed fell in during the night and a chair in the theater room needed to be repaired. Otherwise, it was wonderful!

  Almost Heaven is an accurate name for this cabin. The kids loved the theater room and the adults loved the views and the hot tub. The only issue we found was the jets in the jacuzzi tub did not work, but the rain shower with the view of Mt Leconte made up for it.

  This is the second year we have rented a cabin from elksprings resort. The cabins are beautiful and the location is great. It's away on the mountain in a quiet area, but its not a far drive from downtown which is very convient. I recommend these cabins to everyone. We are already planning a trip back soon : )

  We had a wonderful stay (4 nights)in Elk Springs "Almost Heaven" 4 bedromm, 3.5 bath cabin. It accomodated our 6 adult, 4 children party quite comfortably. The theatre room and the view were awesome. It was fully equipped and very clean. We had a few minor maintenance problems that we reported and the staff assured us they would be addressed. I hope they will do that because this beauty is otherwise flawless. Hot tub, sauna, wet bar, pool table, air hockey - great amenities. My husband and I have stayed in one of Elk Springs one-bedroom cabins before as well and it was equally fabulous. The staff is helpful and courteous. If you want a great stay in the Smokies these are the folks to work with. Won't stay anywhere else!

  This was a great cabin and a great weekend with friends. There were only two problems. 1) no one could do anything about and that was the weekend wasn't long enough. We could have really stayed for a week or more if everyone had the time. 2) was something we had an issue with that could have been resolved better. We were unable to get into our cabin because the door code was not correct. We tried calling for an hour to get someone to let us into the cabin with no response. Finally we got someone to answer the phone to give us a new door code. Unfortunately, that was an hour of the vacation lost without any accomendation. The management should ensure that they have full coverage and the correct door codes prior to check-in to make sure this doesn't happen again.
  
  Other than that one issue, this was a great cabin and a great time!

    Brent, glad you enjoyed your stay. With all due respect, and we know you were frustrated after a long drive, but we did respond to you within 10 minutes of your call. We did have a problem with the code and we do apologize, it does happen sometimes. We work very hard to get the cabin ready for you and we are sorry that you were slightly inconvenienced. We have 24 hour live coverage, but sometimes we have staff that are handling other maintenance calls. It's very infrequent that we ever have a door code issue and even if we do our express check in saves time from having to drive to a check in office.

  Beautiful cabin and location! We liked the balance of the sense of community but also the seclusion of our own space within the "neighborhood." Staff was very helpful. Did not feel cramped at all with a group of 14 in "Almost Heaven." Probably the nicest
  cabin we have ever stayed in and very reasonably priced as well.

  We had an awsome trip to the Smokeys for Spring Break. The Cabin we stayed at was named Almost Heaven and the kids said that it should have been named Heaven not almost. Will definelty come back and stay at Elk Springs Resort again. It was just a little outside of town which I loved being away from the hustle & bustle.

  OVerall, wonderful home! Beautiful view! However,I would recommend that an owner spend a few days in the place to look at details. There were no hangers or vacuum. The dust pan did not meet the floor so difficult to even sweep. And the doors squeak quite loudly.

  Wow. I have been on dozens of cabin trips over the past 10 years and this was by far the BEST yet. Elk Spring was perfect in every way. Beautiful cabin, clean, updated, all the toys you could want (movie theater, pool table, grill, hot tub) and a very professional staff. Booked the trip with Marty who is simply put amazing. She was knowledgeable about the property, friendly and responsive. We will be back.

  WE had just a few minor problems. There were a lot of wasps and wasp nests attached to our cabin. It made it difficult for the kids to be in the hot tub. We also called one time for maintenence to come and fix the hot tub because it was heating up and noone ever came.

  We loved everything about our stay in Almost Heaven. The location is perfect - just far enough from the craziness of Gatlinburg's main street and close to the Arts and Craft communtiy. The whole family enjoyed movies in the theatre room. We loved the rain shower in the upstairs bathroom. The view was amazing. After looking at other locations, we found Elk Springs Resort to have a nice variety of cabins and more space in between lots than other resorts. When we complained about the dishwasher, a replacement dishwasher was installed in less than 48 hours! We look forward to returning to Gatlinburg in the future and will look at Elk Springs first!

    Sorry about the dishwasher. We thought we have it fixed, but it was a controller board / controller chip that malfunctioned and caused it to only work sometimes. It was misleading. But i'm glad we were able to replace it while you were here.

  Very Very Nice cabin. Would love to take family back there again. Had only three issues that we could find, 1. diswasher only worked half the time. 2. kids bedroom with bunkbeds the window did not have a screen and was real easy to open. 3. driveway going to cabin could use some blacktop. But overall it was a great stay and will go back. Beautiful cabin along with a great view!

  Floor plan was excellent for us (3 couples; 2 with small children). Both children and adults enjoyed the theater room and game room. Grocery store, Gatlinburg and Smokey Mountain National Park were easily accessible. The cabin is attractive; beds are comfortable. Maintenance issues were addressed in a timely manner. Almost Heaven is one of the newer cabins. Road to house was gravel and parking area needed improvement.

  We rented the Almost Heaven cabin for a girl's weekend getaway in celebration of my 30th birthday. There were 13 girls total and I was nervous about how the cabin would actually be, but to our great satisfaction the cabin was amazing! It is hard to satisfy 13 different women, but this cabin surely did! The amenities were great, the beds were comfortable, and there was something to do for everyone. Our first night, some people enjoyed the hot tub, others watched a movie in the home theater, while other played pool or just sat out on the deck. I would definitely recommend the Elks Springs Resort to my friends!

  This cabin was fantastic. The management company was easy to work with and everything was true to what we saw online. We traveled with adults and children and everyone had a fantastic time. Fantastic location with stores and shopping close by but still allowed the feeling of being in the mountains. Three issues for the management company to address- the kitchen was not as well stocked as we had hoped but it was manageable, I would guess that "leave behinds" will overtime lead to a much better stocked kitchen. Second, the hot tub didn't get very warm and the front door lock was tricky each time we had to unlock the door. Overall we totally enjoyed our stay, we would stronly recomend this location and would absolutely come back again!

  This was our 3rd Gatlinburg trip with the whole family. We had previously stayed with another cabin rental company and the last time (DEC 2007) was not a good experience. I found Elk Springs Resort on the internet. Emailed back and forth with Andy and decided to reserve our cabin - Almost Heaven. It was absolutly gorgeous. The cabin was more than spacious and fitting for our family of 7. We could have brought more people. It was huge and the view is second to none. It was like you could reach out and touch the mountains! The driveway was steep and graveled, not paved and after 5 inches of rain 2 days before our arival it was a little slippery after about 2 days of traveling. No problem tho. Andy had someone come out witha big bulldozer and re-grated the drive. No problems from then on. He also told us that at the top of the drive in the lot next to Almost Heaven, they plan on building a chapel. Would be a great view for weddings! We plan to book the resort again, hopefully for a fall visit! Thanks Elk Springs Resort! You made our trip a wonderful lifetime memory!
